Sue Marye Cox is an expressive painter specialising in large scale acrylic and oil paintings on canvas.

Deeply influenced by her love of the natural environment, she finds inspiration in everything from the intimacy of a hidden pond to the silent strength of a mountain range. Her contemplative and, at times, powerful artwork speaks to our emotional connection with nature.

Sue works from her home studio in Canberra and is a member of the Hall Artists.

Sue’s final body of work Emergence expresses a connection and oneness with the natural environment. It takes us on a journey through a tactile and dreamlike world of imagination.

Immersed in reflected light and shimmering shapes, we explore crevices and follow delicate threads. Emerging from this, we follow an uplift of energy leading to discovery and growth. In its wake, we discover winding pathways of light.
