My personal belief in the role of design in this world can be summarised through the words of Frank Lloyd Wright, “Architecture is life, or at least it is life itself taking form, and therefore it is the truest record of life as it was lived in the world yesterday, as it is lived today, or ever will be lived.”

Creativity has always been an inborn need for me.  I recognise the need to combine aesthetics with functionality, and love the challenge of melding form with function.  Incorporating environmentally sustainable design principles is also important to me.

Studying interior design at CIT has allowed me to creatively explore my passion for colours and shapes, and channel them into interior spaces that are function, flexible and catered specifically to each individual client and brief.

Passion has continually driven my desire to explore the world of Design. Striving to create spaces that are both unique and functional; each personalised specifically for a client, I hope to continue to evolve my style in a professional and ever-changing way.

I am a Canberra-based interior designer who takes pride in my ability to transform spaces by bringing ideas and inspirations to life. Through two years of learning through my studies for an Advanced Diploma of Interior Design and hands-on experience in the industry, I have developed a keen understanding and eye for creating awe-inspiring surroundings.

I am also adept in finding creative ways to help budget-conscious clients design their dream spaces. I pay close attention to detail and believe I possess a skillset ready for use in the design industry.

As a native Moroccan, I believe I can offer a unique perspective on designing residential, commercial, retail and hospitality interiors. I have a passion for infusing organic shapes and curved lines into my concepts. I strive to implement principles of sustainability and innovation into my work. I am a very dedicated and always eager to learn more and approach challenges with an open mind and enthusiasm to create space that is functional and memorable.

Design surrounds us. It's ability to engage us, evoke a mood or inspire has always fascinated me. Design can be a powerful tool that can have tremendous impact.

Interior Design is something that I entered into initially out of a love for art, colour, contrast and because I loved the idea of creating spaces that are beautiful and useful. I still believe that interior design is a fantastic artistic expression, but more than that, it shapes, outlines and inspires people’s lifestyles and individuality no matter what the project may be.

Design to me is how a space makes a person feel. How a space communicates with a person. How people function in a space.

I'm Bim, I am from Vietnam and I studied at University of Canberra before I came to Canberra Institute of Technology. I found myself in Interior Design at CIT and learning design skills.

I am interested and good at making 3D realistic rendering and 3D visualization in interior design, my goal is to be a good interior designer.

My design methodology revolves around the simple clean lines of minimalism without dismissing the importance of luxury and warmth. Using strong architectural detailing to communicate a cohesive result between the interior and exterior without being afraid of creating contrast where necessary.
